20-X Industries was formed to build a business around my passions. I am a self taught machinist and have a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech.  Over the last 6 years I have been developing and patenting a firearm support system that will benefit a huge swath of the firearms industry. The disciplines include target shooters, hunters, professionals, and well anyone that wants to put a round on target the first time. I do not know how to say this in a way that is not cliche. It is a game changer and I believe it will shift the paradigm of the entire industry.

"A game changer...it will shift the paradigm of the entire industry"

Generation 1.0 design and testing

During the design of the chassis system I realized through my experience and my wife’s newness to the sport that traditional bipods were far too difficult to adjust precisely. The ideal spot for a bipod is the furthest away from you on the rifle forearm. When you place the bipod at this location it becomes just that much harder to adjust because of the longer reach (especially for my wife). I chose to add a new pivot point to my chassis system which gives it degrees of freedom that don't exist in any other firearm support system. I designed a pivot into the chassis forearm itself, Figures 1-2.

The figures show fixed carbon fiber legs to save weight for the F-Class discipline but you can imagine that one could attach any “normal” bipod to my setup. This gives the shooter the ability to fine tune the height and cant of their rifle without fussing with individual leg heights. Further, it is common practice to tweak rifle elevation by squeezing the rear bag, not anymore. With this system you solidly support the rear of your rifle while adjusting elevation by altering the angle of the pivot mechanism. Generation 1 worked well but it gave too many degrees of freedom around the single ball socket and thus was a pain to fine tune.  Generation 2 solves all of these issues and greatly improves the ergonomics of the system as a whole.
